Quinn Cicala – “Hummingbird” (Le Fou Sessions)

It’s been a few months since Myrtle Beach indie band Cicala released their full-length album, Post Country. Since its release the band has been busy touring around the Carolinas and beyond, and the record has racked up some pretty nice streaming numbers on Spotify, with closing track “View” steadily approaching 10,000 streams.

Between bouts of tour and shifts delivering pizzas, frontman and songwriter Quinn Cicala found time to meet up with Le Fou Sessions to record a late-night solo acoustic version of “Hummingbird”. The track, which initially premiered here on Extra Chill last summer, actually comes from the short EP that Cicala released near the end of last year called Outside. The live session was recorded at the beach boardwalk in Myrtle, and features Quinn sitting alone on a bench with an acoustic guitar, delivering the feels.
