Billie Fountain – “Madness, Honey”

Back in 2017, Charleston electronic artist Billie Fountain moved to Los Angeles to further pursue his musical endeavors. He’s been fairly quiet since moving, only releasing one track called “Mother Marie”, but now we have a chance to hear what he’s been working on with Friday’s release of the single “Madness, Honey”. The single was released on the new LA-based indie label, Tone & Manor, and according to the press release it is “just one in a score of new songs”.

“Madness, Honey” grabs your attention right away with a catchy, old-school sounding synth, and runs with laid-back vocals and a buttery bass line throughout. There’s an effortless vibe to the whole thing, without sacrificing a beat that you can move to.

Billie Fountain will bring these pop sounds and more to Charleston on Saturday, July 27th for a show at The Royal American, where he’ll be joined by locals Matilda Dae and Argot. Facebook event here.
