This coming Friday, June 14th, The Artisanals are set to return to The Royal American for the first time in more than a year, and for the first time since releasing their self-titled debut album. The Artisanals has received critical acclaim from outlets like Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Relix, and since the album’s release in September, Johnny Delaware & co have pretty much lived on the road. Their extensive touring has taken them across the States and even across the pond for a run through Europe, and to festivals like SXSW, Forecastle, Bragg Jam, and yesterday a set during the Spoleto Finale here in Charleston.
The Artisanals will be joined by Charleston duo Babe Club, who just wrapped up their debut EP that will be released by the end of the year. Jenna Desmond and Corey Campbell of Babe Club have been more active in the Charleston music scene than ever this year after deciding to part ways with SUSTO near the end of 2018. Since then they’ve been pursuing their creative passions with Babe Club full time, and we look forward to hearing what they’ve come up with in the studio.
Tickets are $10 at the door, and the show starts at 9pm. Facebook event here.
