Last week, Columbia folk singer-songwriter Kelley McLachlan premiered her debut single, “Steady Hands” with our friends over at Scene SC. This morning we’re happy to offer an exclusive listen to her second release “Too Many Ghosts”. Both songs come from Kelley’s upcoming debut album, Misty Valley, which will be released this Friday, May 31st.

Misty Valley was recorded at Slow Radio in Columbia with a band consisting of Idris Chandler, Ethan Fogus, Kristen Harris (The Boomtown Waifs), Steven Harrod & Branhan Lowther (both of Slim Pickens), Mario McLean, Steve Nuzum, Brodie Porterfield, and Sean Thomson.

“Too Many Ghosts” is a heartfelt folk tune that is anchored by Kelley’s powerful voice, and layered with a building arrangement that mirrors the rising emotional tide that the song explores. Listen below, and catch Kelley’s album release show at Columbia’s Blue Moon Ballroom this Saturday, June 1st, where she’ll be joined by The Restoration and midimarc. Facebook event here.
