PRJCT.SPACE Photography Zine Features 9 Local Artists in their Creative Spaces

This coming Saturday, May 4th, local photographer Mario Romero will debut his new photography zine, PRJCT.SPACE, with a celebration at Second State Coffee at 70 1/2 Beaufain Street from 6pm to 9pm. The event is free and open to the public, and copies are the zine are $25 a piece (limited run of 50). Pabst Blue Ribbon is providing free beer.

PRJCT.SPACE features local artists Chris Kemp, Beau DeFiore, Sam Malpass, Colin Peterson, Briahna Wenke, Jonathan Rypkema, Justin Morris, Malcolm Knight, and Kate Barattini, whom Mario worked closely with over the course of a six month period. Mario photographed each artist while they worked in their creative spaces to create artworks in their chosen medium, which range from visual art like painting, sculpting, and drawing, to surf photography. The featured artists will also be at the PRJCT.SPACE release show to sign copies of the zine and hang out.
