Abstract – That Rapper feat. AJOG – “9 To 5”

In case you didn’t hear, Extra Chill Fest veteran Abstract – That Rapper recently won the City Paper Music Award for Hip-Hop Artist of the Year. It truly was a big year for Charleston hip-hop, and Abstract’s most successful year to date. He released “Mumble Rap” on all streaming platforms and a handful of additional singles on Soundcloud.

The newest release from Abstract – That Rapper surfaced this week, another Soundcloud single called “9 To 5”. With this one, Abstract expresses frustration and anger with the mind-numbing and creatively limiting aspects of a typical 9 to 5 career. With production from OLeg and a feature from AJOG, “9 To 5” encourages listeners to break free from the constraints of their jobs and instead choose to chase their goals and dreams.
