Amanda Shires and Aaron Lee Tasjan to Kick Off Made in the South Weekend at Charleston Music Hall

Our friends over at Garden & Gun are gearing up to host their annual Made in the South Weekend on November 9-10. The Made in the South Weekend is the prominent magazine’s way of celebrating the best in Southern craftsmanship, and offers awards for the categories of Food, Drink, Home,
Style, Crafts, and Outdoors.

Garden & Gun started conducting the Made in the South Awards in 2010, enlisting a panel of judges from across the South to assess the candidates and decide who represents the pinnacle of Southern excellence in each category. The winner of each category receives a prize of $10,000 along with a prominent feature in the winter issue of Garden & Gun. Runners-up are also featured alongside the winners.

More information can be found on the Garden & Gun website here.

Kicking off the 2018 Made in the South Weekend is a concert at the Charleston Music Hall, featuring performances from Nashville artists Amanda Shires and Aaron Lee Tasjan. Both artists are fresh off the release of new albums, with To The Sunset by Amanda Shires and Karma For Cheap by Aaron Lee Tasjan each making their debut in August.

Tickets to the Made in the South Weekend kick-off party start at $35 and are available here. There is also a VIP package available that includes a pre-show cocktail party and meet & greet at Garden & Gun CEO Rebecca Darwin’s Charleston home.
