All Get Out – “Value”

Yesterday, alternative rock outfit All Get Out premiered their newest single and music video, “Value” with the revered Forbes Magazine. All Get Out was originally formed in Charleston, but founder Nathan Hussey has since moved the operation out to Texas. They’re still a South Carolina band at heart, and they hold a special place in the hearts of many South Carolina music fans.

All Get Out will release their new album, No Bouquet, on Friday, November 2nd via Equal Vision Records. The band will play a release night show at Columbia’s New Brookland Tavern (tickets here). No Bouquet is a follow-up to their 2016 full-length Nobody Likes A Quitter. Between albums, Nathan Hussey released Hitchens, a solo album under the project name Hussey that kind of sounds like a stripped-down All Get Out record in the vein of Manchester Orchestra’s HOPE.

The “Value” music video has some serious Moonrise Kingdom vibes, with All Get Out members Nathan Hussey and Kyle Samuel traversing the wilderness in their scout uniforms. They cross path with several humanoid oddities, and examine them with a childlike curiosity. The video ends when Kyle and Nathan crawl into a cardboard box portal to another dimension, which to me represents the exploration of new artistic territory, without pretense or fear of failure. The video was produced by Trash Head Productions.

The interview that All Get Out did with Forbes for the premiere dives deeper into the thought process behind “Value” and where the band currently stands. Read it here.
