Walter Brown to Headline Extra Chill Fest

When we announced Extra Chill Fest a few weeks back, you may have wondered what was up with the little blank space at the top of the lineup. Well, we were saving a special headliner to be announced at a later date. Now, the time has come to fill in that blank space and reveal the final headliner. And that headliner is none other than Walter Brown.

Walter Brown is a Charleston hip-hop artist who has been gaining some serious traction with the release of his new album IMOW. The album was produced by Matt Tuton (who also produced the Sunny Malin single that came out earlier this week), and is being distributed by Sony affiliate Hitmaker. Last week, the album reached #88 on the iTunes hip-hop charts. This album is putting Charleston’s hip-hop scene on the map in a big way.

This announcement finalizes the Extra Chill Fest lineup, which also includes South Carolina bands Human Resources, Whitehall, Daddy’s Beemer, Niecy Blues, Tape Waves, Tom Angst, Sunny Malin, Dakota O, Alarm Drum, Abstract, and Chris Wilcox. We’re bringing together a diverse range of musicians for one epic day of live music on two stages at The Purple Buffalo.

If you don’t have your tickets yet, I don’t know what you’re waiting for. Get one below for only $20.
