Runaway Gin Returns Home to Close Spring Phorward Tour

Runaway Gin-A Tribute to Phish will be returning home to The Charleston Pour House Sunday, May 28 for an indoor Sunday Phunday. With their Spring Phorward Tour recently ending, Gin is excited to return to their hometown venue, phans, and start to their highly anticipated summer tour.

This past weekend, Gin was at a private, invitation only festival called Hidden in the Hollow. While there, they got up with Melissa Reeves for “Turn On Your Lovelight.” If you don’t know Reeves, she is a fiery singer and guitarist that adds spontaneity to every performance. The nod for Lovelight seemed quite fitting for the Joe Scott written and Grateful Dead covered piece as it is known for scatting, rapping, and drawn out improvisation.

Last month, Greenberg told me how excited they were to come home after their sold out Atlanta show at the Hard Rock Cafe. With the show in the midst of Memorial Day Weekend, Runaway Gin noted “Can’t let any surprises out of the bag, but it is Memorial Day so there is your clue.”

Information for Memorial Day Indoor Sunday Phunday w/ Runaway Gin – 240th Show is here. Head there at 6:30 to catch Thomas Wynn and The Believers on the deck. Check these guys out!
