Catch Cisco Kids at Smoke BBQ on Thursday, April 20th

Charleston’s groovy, funky Cisco Kids are headed down to Smoke BBQ on King Street this Thursday night to provide mellow jams while you drink and “Smoke” your 420 evening away. These guys have been playing music together for a few years, and originally went under the name Cousin Carter, when they recorded the laid-back tune “The Folly Surf”, which I’ve included a stream of below. Since changing their band name to Cisco Kids, they recorded two demos, “Sexi Thighs”, and “Daphne”, and according to drummer J’Dian Bennett have written a full album’s worth of songs that will be recorded in the coming months.

Cisco Kids will start their set at Smoke BBQ (487 King Street) around 10:30pm, and will keep the music going until the early morning. There is no cover, and the kitchen at Smoke is open late to supply you with the barbecue munchies you’ll need to keep you going all night long. Stream “The Folly Surf” by Cousin Carter below, and get out and see the boys play at Smoke this Thursday night!
